BECOME A MEMBER |
INTELLENET REGULAR MEMBER: * The Intellenet Regular Membership consists of private investigators and/or security consultants, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, licensed in those jurisdictions where licensing is required, and in good standing, in all cases. Holding a license alone is not considered an adequate requirement as the membership is exclusive to one individual, and not a company. Applicants must be recommended by an Intellenet member and the recommendation shall be based upon the known integrity, honesty, capability and reliability of the recommended party. Alternatively, an applicant may self-nominate, but such applicant will be subjected to the same criteria as a recommended candidate. A screening process, which will include public record checks, regarding the applicant in the jurisdictions where there is not state licensing requirement and where the applicant has resided for the last seven (7) years and an interview of references will be the minimum requirement. An application fee shall be paid to offset the costs commensurate with the process indicated. SPECIALIST MEMBER: * Individuals holding non-investigative licenses or having specialty investigative areas that do not require a license, such as computer forensics, polygraph examiners, handwriting/document examiners, background screening shall be eligible to become a specialist member of the association. The specialist member will have a minimum of ten years of investigative or related experience in their particular field. ASSOCIATE MEMBER: * The Board of Directors recognizes and applauds those persons who would meet either the regular or specialist membership requirements but have yet to meet the 10-year requirement of membership. Intellenet would welcome individuals who meet all the other requirements of regular or specialist membership except for the ten years of investigative experience. Associate members will have access to mentorship, and a designated Listserv. Associate members shall have such rights and privileges as may be granted by the Board of Directors. To be eligible for this membership category, the associate must be sponsored by an existing member in good standing. AFFILIATE MEMBER: (no cost) Individuals, suppliers, commercial users of professional services, business entities in allied fields or support services, and individuals in any recognized form of law enforcement or public safety shall be eligible to become an affiliate member of the association. * $25 one-time application fee and annual dues |
